Every year on 23 April the World Book and Copyright Day is acknowledged which is an annual occurrence organized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) to promote reading, publishing, and copyright. The first time this day was celebrated on 23 April in 1995. The day is celebrated by UNESCO and other related organizations across the world to honour authors, books worldwide, to promote the art of reading etc.

In 1995, this date was finalized by the UNESCO General Conference, held in Paris, to pay tribute and honour authors and books worldwide.

Apart from it, the day is also the birth & death anniversary of several famous authors such as the death anniversary of William. In such circumstances, we invite students, teachers, and readers from around the world, as well as the whole book industry and library services to express their love for reading. Moreover, We encourage you to share this positive message with others through World Book Day.

In addition, Each year a city is chosen which undertakes the day to maintain through its own initiatives. Almost everywhere in the world these initiatives have already been involved in the process, which thus transmutes the celebration of books and copyright into a recurring activity.

Sometimes it becomes strenuous to take the time off to read on your own or with your children. It is a time to celebrate the importance of reading and promote a lifelong love of literature into the world of work. We encourage everyone to share this efficacious message with others through #StayAtHome and #WorldBookDay.
