The Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi announced its Class XIIth results for the academic session of 2018-19 today on 02-May-2109. The CBSE board’s total pass percentage this year has been 83.4%. The southern regions have performed better in comparison to their northern counterparts. Thiruvananthapuram region topped the list of the regions with a total pass percentage of 98.2% followed by the Chennai region with 92.93%. The Delhi region improved its last year’s performance with a total pass percentage of 91.87% improving from 89% in 2018. Girls, just like the previous years, have outperformed the boys with a pass percentage of 88.70% against 79.4% for boys. 83.3% of trans genders have also been successful to pass the examination.
The all India toppers of the examinations this year are Hansika Shukla and Karishma Arora who have jointly topped the examination with an overall score of 499 out of 500. As many as 17,693 students have scored above 95% marks.
