According to the new academic calendar issued by AICTE for academics session 2020-21, the new session for Engineering programs will start from December 01, 2020. The last date for admissions into 1st year Engineering programs has been extended to 30 November.

As per the official notice, the decision has been taken keeping in mind the ongoing corona pandemic scene. The various state governments were also requesting to extend the date for the admission processes of first-year engineering programs of NITs and IITs.

Earlier, the sessions were scheduled to start from 16 August for Pharmacy, Engineering, Architecture and other programs, and from 15 September for the fresh batch.

The UGC has also advised to colleges to conduct classes six days in a week to compensate for the lost time. The winter and summer breaks will also be shortened.
