British Council Approves October- November Exams

The British Council has consented to move forward with the October- November 2020 exam series for the international IGCSE, GCSE, International A Level and O Level exams as per the notified schedule. The Bangladesh Government approved the decision taken by BC.



They also addressed the issues faced by students, teachers and parents during the corona situation and perpetuated their sincere appreciation for the understanding and patience.



The official statement released by the British Council stated, "We sincerely appreciate the support and cooperation of the Government of Bangladesh (Ministry of Education) in helping carry out the upcoming October-November 2020 exam series".



Since the May-June 2020 exams got cancelled due to the pandemic, the BC also felt appreciated on behalf of students who have been given the opportunity to appear for exams from next month.



The BC notified that there are around 5200 students in Bangladesh who registered for October-November 2020 exam series in July-August 2020.



They also notified that the health and safety of the students will be the topmost concern and the exams will be held within the COVID-19 guidelines set by the Government of Bangladesh and the World Health Organisation's control and preventive mechanism will also be followed. The guidelines include social distancing, wearing masks, sanitization of the venues which will be followed across Chattogram, Dhaka, Sylhet, Khulna, and Narayanganj.



For the upcoming exams, the results will be based on the assessment of the students' performance done by UK Exam Board excluding Art and Design exams.
