The Central Board of Secondary Education has signed an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with the National Council of Applied Economic Research. The MoU has been signed for a project on Skilling in Schools.

Under the programme, a research study will be undertaken by the NCAER in two phases to advise appropriately on implementing skilling in schools in accordance with the NEP (National Education Policy) 2020.

Phase-I: In this phase, the study will analyze CBSE's inputs, compare it with the existing learning and teaching patterns to identify the issues and gaps with the current system in CBSE schools. It's main focus will be on the learning outcomes, its relevance to the skills, and its impacts on the work pathways and education's future.

Phase-II: In this phase, the study will focus on identifying corrective measures and steps to defeat these restrictions and strengthen the phase-1 factors. The aim is to make skilling program more impactful and relevant which can be achieved by a regular monitoring and effective implementation of school resources and courses.

The MoU was signed in the presence of the Secretary of School Education & Literacy Anita Karwal, Secretary of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship Praveen Kumar and Chairman of CBSE Manoj Ahuja.
