The Delhi University has introduced a report before the High Court stating that an online portal has been activated for the pass put students who graduated last year but could not receive their degrees. The online portal is www.digicerti.du.ac.in and students can register themselves on the given portal.

While registering at the portal, the students must fill the details such as the name of the college and their academic qualifications. After completing the verification, the digital degree will be sent within a week by the university.

The petitions were filed by 21 doctors who completed their MBBS degree from colleges affiliated with the Delhi University but had not received degree certificates.

The Court directed that the digital degree must be issued to these students by email, on or before 13 August, so that the students who wish to appear for USMLE (United States Medical Licensing Examination) or US Residency Programmes can apply.

The last date is 15 August to upload the digital certificates on the mobile application 'My ECFMG' for processing.

A sample degree has been produced before the court under the initiative of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and IT department of the High Court and the court is satisfied with contents.

The court has also asked the officials of the university about the transcript and mark-sheets of students and whether these can be issued digitally. The hearing in this regard has been postponed to 07 Sept.
