The Central Board of Secondary Education has launched a new mobile application 'Dost for Life' for students and parents. This is an exclusive app for psychological counselling for students of CBSE-affiliated schools and their parents. The application has been designed for students of Class 9 to Class 12 and parents.

It will be available to be used from May 10 onwards for counselling sessions. It will simultaneously accommodate students and parents in different geographies across the globe.

The CBSE will conduct free of cost live counselling sessions. These sessions will be held thrice a week on Monday, Friday, and Wednesday by trained Principals/ Counselors. The students and parents of CBSE affiliated schools will have the option to choose from any of the 2-time slots i.e. 9.30 am to 1.30 pm or 1.30 pm to 5.30 pm and connect through a Chat Box according to their convenience.

The application will also provide information to students on suggestive course guides after 12th, mental health well-being tips, a corona guidance, and also rap songs.

The 'Dost for Life' application is available to download on the Google Play store. It can be easily downloaded on any Android phone. The board will soon extend this facility to other phone users.
