International Yoga Day is also called ‘Yoga Day’. It is celebrated on June 21 every year. The main motive of this day is to tell the importance of yoga and also about the pros of this to the individuals.Yoga is initially originated in India. It is a practise of body by physically, spiritually and mentally. Now it is practise by millions of people for their good health.



It is proposed by Prime Minister Narindra Modi in his speech. He stated that the yoga presents the active state of mind and body. Moreover, it is a precious gift from the ancient times.



Also, we can remain in touch with the world and more close to the nature.



WHY THIS DATE WAS SELECTED??



The main reason of choosing this date for International Yoga Day is that it is the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere. Moreover, it also has a significant importance in many areas of the globe.



Inspite of, this day is celebrated with enthusiasm across the globe by the individuals. Not only this, many events are held in Delhi's Rajpath. Around 36,000 people involving our Prime Minister Narendra Modi also perform yoga. This day stimulates many denizens to do yoga so that they can remain fit and healthy in their life.
