The Journal of Optical Communication (JOC) has accepted the 03 research papers of Sooraj Prakash, employee of Estudentbook and research scholar, on 'Enhancing Performance and Optimization of Multichannel Bidirectional WDM-PON' and 'Multichannel DWDM-FSO'. The paper titled 'Enhancing performance and optimization of multichannel bidirectional WDM-PON with hybrid optical amplifiers employing diverse post dispersion compensation schemes' demonstrates simulative comparison and investigation of 32 channels with 0.8 nm frequency spacing bidirectional wavelength division multiplexing passive optical network (WDM-PON) and is authored solely by Mr. Prakash.

As per the paper, an Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifier (EDFA) optical amplifier has been used to boost the amplitude of weak signals downstream. It also informed that the Reflecting Semiconductor Optical Amplifier (RSOA) amplifier by installing at Optical Network Unit (ONU) terminal can reflect and re-modulate the same wavelengths to Central Office (CO) terminal without the help of any external optical light source. The detailed paper can be checked here.

Along with this paper, Mr. Prakash's other paper titled 'Performance analysis and optimization of multichannel DWDM-FSO system under the effect of hostile weather conditions' has also been accepted by the JOC. This paper demonstrates simulated analysis and investigation of 100 multichannel Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) based Free Space Optical (FSO) systems under adverse weather conditions such as haze, heavy rain and heavy dust fog. The detailed paper can be checked here

Prakash's third paper titled 'Performance enhancement and analysis of 40 GB/s dual channel hybrid FSO/FO link under diverse weather conditions' demonstrates the simulative comparisons and investigation of free-space optical fiber optics hybrid link under the effects of clear sky, haze, and light rain weather conditions by using phase shift keying (PSK) modulation format with a data rate 40 GB/s at 1550 nm wavelength. The detailed paper can be checked here

Currently working at Estudentbook, Mr. Prakash has completed his Graduation in Electronics and Communication from Sant Baba Bhag Singh Institute Of Engineering And Technology – SBBSIET, Jalandhar and Post-graduation from CT Institute Of Technology And Research – CTITR, Jalandhar. Sooraj Prakash co-authored 02 papers with Amita Banga from Torrens University (Flinders Street Campus), Australia, who is pursuing her Master of Software Engineering in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (Advanced) from the University.
