Varsha Gaikwad, Education Minister of Maharashtra, announced that the eLearning will continue to make sure that education remains uninterrupted. She also informed that the department will continue to hold live sessions and deliver digital content even after resuming the physical classes.

She further added that it became a requirement to open schools to grant time in the classrooms to students prior to the board exams, even though some of the parents are still unwilling to send their kids. Since, a lot of the students are still without resources to access digital education and it became difficult for those students to study before or for board exams, said Gaikwad.

Keeping in mind the COVID situation, the state government has issued SOPs (Standard Operating Procedure) for schools and has mandated the continuation of the online classes for the students who don't wish to take part in physical classes. The prescribed regulations must be followed at all times as it's a joint responsibility of students, teachers, and parents, added the Minister.

She also notified that the Class 10 and Class 12 board exams will be held carefully and in a safe enviornment and the board officials have also been notified to release the exam timetable on time to make the proper and appropriate arrangements. The syllabus has already been reduced to 25% and the plan is to conduct the examination without any change in the format, she added.
