The School and Mass Education Department organized the 'Mo School Abhiyan' which was joined by over 33,000 schools from across the state. The 24th Executive Council was held on April 30 under the chairmanship of Satyabrata Sahu, Secretary of the School and Mass Education Department.

Around 5.6 lakh alumni have been partnered with the campaign till date. In March month, 36,311 alumni associated with the campaign and the amount of Rs. 5.2 crore were collected from them to develop their respective schools. This has taken the count of the total no. of connected alumni to Mo's School to 5,06,386.

The meeting, held in digital mode due to the corona pandemic, approved projects valuing Rs. 121.26 crore across 26 districts of Odisha.

A financial help of Rs. 35.55 crore has been granted from various CSR funds to 'Mo School Abhiyan' for the development of govt schools across the state.

Balasore recorded the highest amount of donor contribution i.e. Rs. 1.77 crore for 5th consecutive time. The second highest Cuttack received Rs. 53.54 lakh, Bhadrak received Rs. 36.33 lakh, Angul received Rs. 33.18 lakh and Bargarh received Rs. 18.54 lakh.

Under the 'Mo School Abhiyan', the 5T High School Transformation Program is one of the most important programs.

Selected 1000 schools organize the Energy Club activities for environmental studies with support from Centre and receive yearly aid of Rs. 10,000/ school from the state energy department towards its programme.
