On Monday, the Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal released the new academic calendar for the upper primary stage. This alternate academic calendar has been prepared by the NCERT (National Council of Educational Research and Training) under the guidance of the Ministry for students, teachers, and parents at the primary and upper primary stages.

The calendar would help the students, teachers, parents, and principals to deal with the corona pandemic in a fruitful way by using online learning and teaching resources which in turn would improve the students' academic outcomes.

Earlier the calendar was released for 4-weeks and now it has been released for 8-weeks as reported by the Education Minister.
