NIT Srinagar Students Built Kashmir's First Racing Model 'go-kart'

His group of 25 students from the Srinagar National Institute of Technology (NIT) developed the go-kart. (G-01). A spokesman for the institute said it will participate in the all-India go-karting competition in Coimbatore next week. According to him, the engineering department's first racing model, the G-01, was unveiled on Thursday by his managing director of NIT, Srinagar M.F. Crocodile, and his vizier Said Emperor Bukhari.
“A team of 25 students was assembled by Department Chair Adnan Qayoum and worked on campus for several months under the guidance of H.S. Pali and Dinesh Kumar Rajendran,” a spokesperson said.
He said the go-kart consisted of various equipment and his 150 cc bicycle engine. It runs on diesel and has a top speed of 150 kilometers per hour.
A spokesman said the test run went well and the vehicle passed all tests before being put on the road. This is the first time a "student has created a model like his G-Kart. "This is just the beginning, more features will be added. “Our students are innovating around the clock and we are also modernizing our campus infrastructure,” says Wani.
Rakesh Sehgal, director of NIT Srinagar, said in a message that go-karts are new in Kashmir but are more popular in the South Indian state. "Silicon Valley's innovation trends continue to evolve with advanced technology in all areas, and students are well on their way," he said. Garuda team his coordinator H.S. Pali said this was the most important milestone in his NIT Srinagar history.
“The G-01 model is the result of months of hard work, dedication, and collaboration by Garuda team members,” he said.
