The Punjab Govt. has decided to allow the provisional admissions in class 11 for Open Category Students as regular students. The announcement was made by the School Education Minister of Punjab Vijay Inder Singla.

The decision will surely clear the dilemma of the open category students as they were bothered about not getting admissions as regular students. The Govt. has decided to allow for provisional admissions provided that the open category students must appear for the matriculation exam which will be conducted once the circumstances become normal.

As informed by the Education Minister, the result of the regular students was declared on the basis of the Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation by the PSEB (Punjab School Education Board) but the result for the open category students was not declared as they do not come under CCE criteria.
