The Ministry of Minority Affairs has launched a skill development scheme - Seekho Aur Kamao. The aim of the scheme is to provide employment and employment opportunities and also to enhance the employability of current workers, school dropouts, etc.

The scheme has been launched for youth of 14 years to 35 years age group.

Under the scheme, the govt ensures 755 placements out of which 50% are provided in the organized sector. According to the scheme, the implementing organizations establish links with placement services. These organizations also arrange easy loans/ microfinance for the candidates interested in self employment through banks, financial institutions, NMDFC, etc.

The Govt also provides support of Rs. 2000/ month to each candidate post placement for the duration of 02 months.

In the past 07 years, this employment oriented scheme has benefitted approx. 3.92 lakh candidates.
