The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2022 have been released with one Indian university featuring among the top 50 and 02 universities in the top 100. As per Impact Rankings 2022, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham has secured 41 rank and the Lovely Professional University has secured 74.

From gender disparities in pay to the issue of plastic in the oceans, the universities and students can tackle these serious concerns in a better and fresh way. Keeping this in mind, the THE Impact Rankings is released to evaluate the impact of the worldwide university/ institutions on society through their contributions toward the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

The Rankings have been released to show the list of the institutions that are working hard to tackle global concerns such as quality education for all, gender inequality, climate change, achieving peaceful societies, and economic growth. The list includes 1406 universities/ institutions from 106 countries.

A total of 64 Indian universities have secured their positions, making India the 4th best-represented country. Around 08 Indian universities have made it to the top 300.

From the students' perspective, this ranking could be considered a significant resource when choosing any university for further education.

Other Indian universities featured among the top 300 list are the Amity University-Gurugram, Shoolini University of Biotechnology and Management Sciences, Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology University, University of Calcutta, Chitkara University, the Nitte (Deemed to be University), Vellore Institute of Technology, and the OP Jindal Global University.
