The global authority in education ranking, U.S. News & World Report, released 2022 Best Colleges. The ranking assesses 17 measures of academic quality among 1400 universities and colleges.



This year, number 1 among National Universities is Princeton University. Among National Liberal Arts Colleges, Williams College is the top school. For Top Public Schools, the number 1 position is obtained by the University of California—Los Angeles once again among National Universities and United States Naval Academy among National Liberal Arts Colleges.

New in this year's edition of the 2022 Best College Rankings





  • Best Undergraduate Nursing Programs:





This year "Bachelor's of Science in Nursing" degree programs the U.S. News and World Report published a brand-new ranking of more than 690 schools.





  • Complete Credit for Schools SAT/ACT Takers:





The company has now lowered the entrance the submission necessary for schools to receive for their incoming student's ACT/SAT performance. U.S. News has discounted School values (used in rankings) by 15% only if total ACT and SAT scores reported comprise a maximum of 50% of the entering class. Earlier, the threshold was 75%. This change was made to reflect the reduction of test submission in the fall of 2020 admission cycle.
