Overview
Centre for Environmental Planning and Technology Entrance Exam is also known as CEPT Entrance Exam is the competitive national-level entrance exam conducted by Centre for Environmental Planning and Technology for admissions to it's various PG & P.hD Programs into CEPT and associated colleges. CEPT Entrance Exam is conducted annually and in Offline mode.

- For CAT & DAT:
Exam Pattern:- The examination is conducted in Offline mode. There are two exams for the admission test namely Common Admission Test (CAT) and Design Aptitude Test (DAT). The total time duration is 01 hour for CAT and 01 hours and 30 minutes for DAT for each test. The language of the examination is English only. The paper pattern is as follows:

Note: There is no provision of Negative Marking.
- Academic Performance and Work Experience: The mentioned parameters are checked individually with each having weightage in the entrance test. The grade received is carried forward as part of the final assessment and comprises of 5% weightage of Academic Performance and 10% weightage of Work Experience.
- Portfolio: Each portfolio is graded independently by a panel of two faculty members based on the quality of design and conceptual clarity demonstrated by the candidate through their work. The grade received is carried forward as part of the final assessment and constitute 5% of the total grade.

There is no age limit to apply for PG programme.

Candidates must have completed Graduation in a relevant stream as per the applied PG programme.

The minimum marks to qualify are 55%(50% for Reserved Category) aggregate.

Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam are also eligible to apply for the test.

Ques 1. How can a candidate apply for the CEPT exam?
Ans. The application form is available online at the official website and candidates can submit the form online only.
Ques 2. What are the documents required while filling the application form?
Ans. Following are the documents required:

Photograph- The photograph must be in JPEG format.

Ques 3. How to pay the application fee?
Ans. The payment for the examination can be made online through Credit/Debit card, Net Banking, and other online payment modes.
Ques 4. How can an aspirant download the admit card?
Ans. The CEPT admit card can be downloaded from the official website by entering the provided login credentials.
Ques 5. How long is the CEPT scorecard valid for?
Ans. It is valid for only one year.
Ques 6. How many times is a CEPT exam conducted in a year?
Ans. CEPT exam is conducted by IIT Bombay once a year in January.
Ques 7. How long does it take for results declaration?
Ans. The result along with scorecard for CEPT is released typically in the last week of February/ first week of March.
Ques 8. What is the minimum score required to clear the CEPT exam?
Ans. A score of minimum 100 marks in total and at least 10% marks (for candidates belonging to the General category) in each section of the exam is required to be considered in the UCEED rank list.
Ques 9. How many times can a candidate appear for the CEPT exam?
Ans. Candidates can appear for the exam two times and that too in consecutive years.

Ans. The exam is conducted in Online mode as a computer-based test.
