Formerly known as Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj Medical University, King George's Medical University is a medical school located in Lucknow, U.P, India. KGMU came into being after the upgrade of King George's Medical College into a university by an act passed by the Government of Uttar Pradesh. The National Institutional Ranking Framework has ranked it 10th  among medical colleges in 2019. KGMU offers B.Sc (Nursing), BDS, MBBS, and DM/DH courses in various disciplines. 

Conducting Body: King George's Medical College conducts a KGMU Entrance exam for various courses offered by the university. The KGMU Entrance is conducted Once in a year. The following mentioned detail is regarding 4-year B.Sc Nursing program:

Selection Procedure: There is only one stage in KGMU exam for candidates to qualify for admissions:

• Objective Test

Exam Pattern: The examination is conducted in Offline mode and contains Objective type questions. The question paper consists of 200 MCQ type questions and the language of the exam is English. The total time duration of the examination is  03 hours. The following table explains the paper pattern in detail:

• The minimum age of a candidate must be 17 years old.

- Eligibility: 

• Must have qualified 10+2 with aggregate 45% (40% for SC/ST) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as main subjects.

• Candidates studying from the National Institute of Open Schooling are also eligible to apply.

• Candidates should be medically fit.

The application form can be filled in Online mode. Candidates desirous to apply for the test can apply in Online mode from the official website. Following are the steps to apply that must be followed while filling the form:

• Registration: Candidates are required to visit the website and register themselves for the test. In this process, some basic information is asked. After providing these pieces of information candidates must click on the Register button.

• Verification: Once the registration button is clicked, an email is sent on the provided i.d to verify. The registration process is completed only after verification.

• Application Form Filling: After verification, Candidates can fill the application form through their provided LoginI.d and Password. 

• Uploading Documents: In this step, candidates are asked to upload the scanned copies of their documents. The candidates must submit all the required documents (Photograph and Signature).

• Payment of application fee: The last step is the payment and to apply successfully candidates must make the payment.
