Overview
(AILET)All India Law Entrance Test is held to provide admission for Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG) and Doctorate (PhD) level Law courses. AILET is a university-level entrance exam and is held for admissions at NLU Delhi as the university but it cannot accept any other law entrance test.
Conducting Body: All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) is held by the National Law University, Delhi. The exam is conducted for admissions to its LL.M, B.A. LL.B (Hons.) and P.hD. programs. The examination is held in Offline. The exam is held annually for candidates who wish to join Law colleges.

Selection Procedure:
The AILET Test is held in two stages:-

Exam pattern: The total time duration will be 01 and a half hours (90 minutes) which will have 100 Objective type questions divided into 2 sections. There will be an essay type question worth 50 marks. The format of the examination is as follows:-

Note:- There is a provision of negative marking for the ''Jurisprudence'' and'' Constitutional Law'' sections. 0.25 marks will be deducted.

Educational Qualification: LLB or any other equivalent degree with 55% aggregate marks (50% in case of SC/ST/PwD).

Consists of different doctrines, rules and practices that govern the functioning of a modern state and political communities.

Applicants are asked questions related to subjects that they have studied in their graduation.
- Jurisprudence:

Also known as Philosophy of Law.

Classified into three parts -sociological, analytical, and theoretical.

Candidates are asked questions based on subjects that they have studied in their Postgraduate.

Ques 1. Is AILET the main exam to take for law admissions?
Ans. Yes, candidates look for admission in one of the top law universities of India i.e. NLU Delhi.
Ques 2. Is AILET tougher than CLAT?
Ans. Yes, the hard level of AILET is usually higher than the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT).
Ques 3. Is AILET held in online or offline mode?
Ans. It is held in offline mode i.e. candidates get question paper and to mark their responses in the OMR sheet only.
Ques 4. Is there any age limit to apply for the exam?
Ans. No, NLU Delhi has not prescribed any age limit.
Ques 5. How can I apply for the AILET exam?
Ans. The application form is AILET will be available in online mode at the official website.
Ques 6. Is it compulsory to select the law course while applying for the application?
Ans Yes, The exam is held for undergraduate as well as postgraduate courses in law
Ques 7. Which documents are required for submission of the application?
Ans. The scanned photo and signature must be uploaded.
Ques 8. What should be the size of the photograph and signature?
Ans. The size of the scanned photograph & signature is 150kb. Both documents files should be in jpeg or bmp format.
Ques 9. How can candidates pay the application fee?
Ans. The application fee can be paid online by Debit Card, Credit Card or Net Banking and offline through Cash Deposit at the post office.
Ques 10. How many centres are there for the exam?
Ans. There are 19 test centres available and candidates are asked to choose three preferences.
Ques 11. When can an applicant download the admit card?
Ans. The admit cards can be downloaded at least 3-4 days before the exam date.
