The National Testing Agency conducts the Common Management Aptitude Test. CMAT is a national level examination organized for admissions to various management courses offered by more than one thousand B-schools in India which are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). 

Conducting Body: The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the CMAT.

Selection Procedure:- The selection procedure consists of the following steps-

• Written Test

• Selection Round (GD, PI or Written Ability Test).

The weightage given to each round is different.

Exam Pattern:

Written Test:- The written test will consist of 100 questions divided into 4 sections (Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, English and General Awareness). The total time duration will be 180 minutes (3 hours). The exam pattern is as follows:-

• The CMAT cut-off of Stage-1: Computer Based Test (CBT) for each participating institute is different.

Ans. Visually Impaired and Cerebral Palsy applicants will be allowed to bring a Scribe/ Reader as per the scribe form mentioned on the CMAT website. The scribe facility can also be provided by AICTE if the applicant so opts for that. The applicant will be given an opportunity to interact with the scribe a day before the examination. After meeting with the identified scribe, the applicant will be required to submit an undertaking. You will also be provided with a time extension of one hour for the computer-based test.

Ques 10. What will be the time extension given to Visually Impaired or Cerebral Palsy candidates?

Ans. Visually Impaired or Cerebral Palsy Applicants will be granted a time extension of twenty minutes for every hour of the test, thus for 3-hour test, you will get a total of 'One Hour' extra.

Ques 11. If I have done Graduation through part-Time or Distance Learning Mode, am I eligible to apply for the CMAT exam?

Ans. Yes; as long as it is approved by respective statutory bodies.

Ques 12. If I have made any mistake(s) while registering for CMAT 2018, can I make changes later to rectify?

Ans. You may select “Existing User Login” on the CMAT website to make changes to your personal details, such as an address, educational information or exam city preferences. For security purposes, editing of applicant’s full name, date of birth, email id, mobile no, State and Country will not be provided. However, if you have genuinely created an error in entering your Date Of Birth, State, etc., you will have to show proof of the right data at the time of examination/interview/admission else your candidature will be nullified.

Note: The ability to edit the application profile will be available only until you have not submitted the Application Form. Once you are done submitting and made the exam fee payment, you will NOT be permitted to make any more modifications. You may only view and print thereafter.

Common Management Aptitude Test (CMAT) Application Process

The application form can be filled in Online mode. Following are the steps to apply that must be followed while filling the form:

• Registration: Visit the official website at cmat.nta.nic.in and register for the test. Fill in the basic information. After providing these pieces of information, click on the Register button.

• Verification: Once the registration button is clicked, an email is sent on the provided i.d to verify. The registration process is completed only after verification.

• Application Form Filling: Again login with the provided credentials and fill the application form. The centre for the exam must be chosen at this step.

• Uploading Documents:Upload the scanned copies of the documents. The candidates must submit all the required documents (Photograph - 10KB-200KB and Signature - 04KB-30KB).

• Payment of application fee: The last step is the payment and to apply successfully, the payment must be made.

Common Management Aptitude Test (CMAT) Admit Card

The admit card is a mandatory document for the test and the candidate must carry it to the exam centre along with an I.D proof such as Driving License, Voter Card, PAN Card, Aadhar Card.

The CMAT 2021 admit card will be relased on March 24, 2021. The steps to download the admit card are mentioned below:

• Visit the official website at cmat.nta.nic.in and click on the link 'Download Admit Card'.

• Fill in the login credentials.

• The CMAT admit card will be displayed on the screen.
