Overview

Kerala Engineering, Agricultural and Medical Entrance Exam, also known as KEAM, is an entrance examination for admissions to various professional degree courses in the Kerala state of India. Kerala Engineering, Agricultural and Medical Entrance Exam is a state-level entrance exam administered by Commissioner of Entrance Exams run by the Government of Kerala for candidates wishing to continue their studies at private and government colleges in Kerala. The entrance test is conducted once a year.

Conducting Body: Commissioner for Entrance Exam, Kerala (CEE) conducts Kerala Engineering, Agricultural and Medical Entrance Exam also known as KEAM which is a State level entrance exam for candidates desirous to continue their study in BTech courses at various government and private colleges in Kerala. The entrance test is conducted in  Online mode.

Selection Procedure: There is only one stage in KEAM for candidates to qualify for admission:

• Written Test

Exam Pattern: The examination is conducted in Offline mode and contains MCQ type questions. The question paper is set in the English Language only. There are two papers and the total no. of questions are 120 per paper. The total time duration of the examination is 02 hour 30 minutes for each paper.  The exam pattern in detail is as follows: 

- Note:- There is a provision of Negative Marking. 01 mark from the total allotted mark gets deducted for each wrong answer.

• The minimum age limit to appear in the test is 17 years.

• There is no upper age limit.

- Educational Qualification:

• Should have cleared HSC exam or equivalent from Kerala Board or a recognized board.

• Should have minimum 50% marks in Mathematics and 50% marks in aggregate in Physics & Chemistry.

• Reserved category candidates (economically and socially) only need 45% marks in Biology/Mathematics and 45% marks in aggregate in Biology/Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry.

- Nationality:

• Only Indian candidates are allowed to appear for this test.

• POI/OCI holders shall be treated as Indian citizens but they do not get any reservation benefits.

The application form can be filled in Online mode. Candidates desirous to apply for the test can apply in Online mode from the official website. Following are the steps to apply that must be followed while filling the form:

• Registration: Candidates are required to visit the website and register themselves for the test. In this process, some basic information is asked. After providing these pieces of information candidates must click on the Register button.

• Verification: Once the registration button is clicked, an email is sent on the provided i.d to verify. The registration process is completed only after verification.

• Application Form Filling: After verification, Candidates can fill the application form through their provided LoginI.d and Password. 

• Uploading Documents: In this step, candidates are asked to upload the scanned copies of their documents. The candidates must submit all the required documents.

• Payment of application fee: The last step is the payment and to apply successfully candidates must make the payment.
