Overview
The MHT CET is a Maharashtra Common Entrance Test, a state-level test and it is conducted for Pharmacy and Engineering programmes. Maharashtra Common Entrance Test is a state-level entrance exam administered by State Common Entrance Test Cell, Mumbai for admissions into various Institutes of Maharashtra state. The entrance test is conducted annually.
Conducting Body: The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Mumbai conducts Maharashtra Common Entrance Test also known as MHT CET for various streams such as Pharmacy, Engineering, and Agriculture. The entrance test is conducted in Online mode. The following mentioned detail is regarding the Pharmacy program.

Selection Procedure: There is only one stage in MHT CET for candidates to qualify for admission:

Written Test
Exam Pattern: The examination is conducted in Online mode and contains MCQ type questions. The question paper is based on the syllabus of Higher Secondary and Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Education. The paper is divided into 3 parts namely Part 1, Part 2 & Part 3 and candidates seeking admission in the pharmacy program must attempt all parts. The time limit of the exam is 01 hour 30 minutes for each section. The exam pattern in detail is as follows:

The question paper is set in the English/Marathi/Urdu Language for Part 2 & Part 3 but for Part 1 the medium is ENGLISH only.

80% of the weightage is given to the Class 12th syllabus and 20% is given to the Class 11th curriculum in the MHT CET exam.

- Educational Qualification:

Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent from Maharashtra Board or any recognized board having Chemistry and Physics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics/Biology.

The minimum required marks are 50% (45% for PwD & Backward class category belonging to Maharashtra state only) in all the subjects taken together.

Candidates must have secured non zero marks in CET/NEET. Preference is given to the candidates having non zero marks in NEET (for ALL INDIA CANDIDATURE category).

Candidates having Indian Nationality are eligible to apply under the 'All India Candidature' category.

Children of NRI/PIO/OCI; Indian workers in the Gulf countries and Foreign National are exempted from appearing for MHTCET.
