FAQs:

Ques 1. I scored 596 marks in MAT exam am I eligible for MBA 2021?

Ans. Yes, you are qualified to take admission but it depends on the college you are targeting.

Ques 2. Do institutes start the admission process after every session of the MAT exam?

Ans: No. MAT is usually administered 4 times in a year in February, May, September, and December. The minimum requirement for appearing in MAT is graduation in any discipline from any recognised University or equivalent recognised degree. But MAT score is legitimate for 1 year and the session starts in September in mostly Institutes.

Ques 3. I will give MAT exam in December. Does admission in good institutes will still be open at that time?

Ans. Yes. MAT score is valid for 1 year.

Ques 4. What are the test dates and timings of the test?

Ans. The Paper-Based Test is being administered on the first Sunday of February, May, September, and December from 1000-1230 hours. Whereas the Computer Based Test is being administered from consequent Sunday onwards and in various Time slots.

Ques 5. Is there any age bar for MAT? Any Job experience needed to appear in MAT?

Ques 6. How to get the MAT Score Card?

Ans. The Score Card is put on the AIMA website during the last week of the month of the test. The applicant can download their scorecard Form AIMA website link:
https://mat.aima.in/previous-results/

Ques 7. I have scored less than 50% marks in graduation. Am I eligible to write MAT?

Ans. Even if you have obtained less than 50% marks in graduation, you are still likely to write a MAT exam. However, as a part of the selection process, some B schools may put a certain cut-off mark in graduation. This cut-off marks (in graduation) maybe 50% or more. In that situation, you will have to apply to B schools, where the percentage marks scored in graduation is not a limitation.

Ques 8. When are the results declared?

Ans. MAT results are announced, in the form of a score report, normally three weeks after the date of the exam.

Ques 9. What is a great score in any MAT exam?

Ans. It has been witnessed in the recent past (last 10 MAT exams), that, on an average, in the whole paper, a total of 80 trials (excluding GK - Indian and Global Environment) with 80% accuracy or a net score (excluding Indian and Global Environment) in excess of 60 (out of a maximum possible 160 marks) has been an outstanding score. However, an applicant has to keep in mind that this trend has been witnessed in the recent past. As and when the complexity level of paper changes, the net score to be ranked as excellent will, also, undergo changes.

Ques 10. What is a great score for receiving a call (for GD-PI) from a B-school?

Ans. In general, to get a call for GD-PI from any B school (participating in any MAT exam), an overall score of more than 90% is considered to be very good. Many B-schools offer scholarships if you get a specified level of percentile or beyond that.
