Overview
NIFT( National Institute of Fashion Technology) is a statutory body that provide degree programs in various disciplines of fashion. It conducts the NIFT Entrance Exam in order to shortlist aspirants for admission in undergraduate, postgraduate and degree programs offered by it. Having its headquarters in New Delhi, NIFT is considered to be a pioneer in Fashion Education.
Conducting Body: The National Institute of Fashion Technology conducts the NIFT Entrance Exam every year for aspiring candidates who wish to pursue their career in Fashion industry. The following mentioned detail is regarding Masters of Design (MDes) program.

Exam Pattern: Creative Ability Test (CAT):

CAT exam tests the creative as well as innovative use of colour and illustration skills of candidates.

It's a paper-pencil based exam.
-
The total time duration of the test is 3 hours.

candidates are evaluated on the basis of their power of observation, intuition skill, innovation in the development of a concept as well as design ability of the candidate
Exam Pattern: General Ability Test (GAT):

The total time duration of the test is 2 hours.

The test is conducted in Offline mode.

The test comprises of the Quantitative Ability, Communication Ability, Analytical Ability, English Comprehension & General Knowledge and Current Affairs.

NIFT Entrance Exam - For Masters of Design (MDes) Application Process
The NIFT application form can be filled in Online mode. Following are the steps to apply that must be followed while filling the form:

Registration: Visit the official website at nift.ac.in and register for the test. Fill in the basic information. After providing these pieces of information, click on the Register button.

Verification: Once the registration button is clicked, an email is sent on the provided i.d to verify. The registration process is completed only after verification.

Application Form Filling: Again login with the provided credentials and fill the application form. The centre for the exam must be chosen at this step.

Uploading Documents:Upload the scanned copies of the documents. The candidates must submit all the required documents (Photograph and Signature).
