TANCET also is known as Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test is conducted by Anna University for admissions to M.Tech/ M.Arch/ M.Plan/ ME, MBA and MCA programs programmes offered by various colleges in Tamil Nadu. The exam is conducted Offline and the time duration is 02 hours. The GATE qualified candidates are exempted from the TANCET examination, however, GATE XE and XL paper candidates need to appear for the exam.

Conducting Body: The Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test or TANCET is conducted by Anna University. Established in 1978, Anna university is a state technical university in Tamil Nadu, India and is ranked 10th institution in India overall by National Institution Ranking Framework, ranked 8th in Engineering and ranked 4th among Universities. The following mentioned detail is regarding the MBA exam.

Selection Procedure: There is only one stage in the TANCET exam for candidates to qualify for admissions:

The application form can be filled in Online mode. Candidates desirous to apply for the test can apply in Online mode from the official website. Following are the steps to apply that must be followed while filling the form:

• Registration: Candidates are required to visit the website and register themselves for the test. In this process, some basic information is asked. After providing these pieces of information candidates must click on the Register button.

• Verification: Once the registration button is clicked, an email is sent on the provided i.d to verify. The registration process is completed only after verification.

• Application Form Filling: After verification, Candidates can fill the application form through their provided LoginI.d and Password. 

• Uploading Documents: In this step, candidates are asked to upload the scanned copies of their documents. The candidates must submit all the required documents (Photograph and Signature).

• Payment of application fee: The last step is the payment and to apply successfully candidates must make the payment.
