Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions, also known as TNEA, is a state-level exam conducted by Anna University. The exam is conducted for candidates seeking admission into B.Tech and B.E courses at universities, colleges, and Engineering & Technological Institutes in Tamil Nadu state. Counselling
Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) Exam Pattern:
The counselling process is conducted by DoTE (Department of Technical Education), Chennai. The counselling process is held in online mode and in four rounds. The process consists of Registration, Payment of Fees, Application form, Certificate Verification, and Seat Allotment. At the end of each round of counselling, the seat allotment result is announced by the authority. The list of candidates is solely based on the Merit List (which is prepared by the authorities), Choices filled and Category. Candidates must possess all the required documents during the Document Verification process failure to do so leads to the Cancellation of seats. The allocation of seats is done based on the choices made by the candidates and the availability of seats in a particular institute/course.

Ques 1. From where can a candidate get the information regarding the TNEA?
Ans. A candidate can get the information from the official website of Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE).

Ques 12. Can a candidate from outside Tamil Nadu state apply under Special Reservation?
Ans. No, only native candidates of Tamil Nadu state are eligible for Special Reservation.
