WBJEE (West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination) is a state-level exam held by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB). The exam is managed for applicants to look for admission into B.Tech and B.Pharma courses at universities, government colleges and self-financing engineering & technological institutes in West Bengal. WBJEE is held in Offline mode by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board.
Conducting Body: The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) is managed by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board. Being the state government administered authority, WBJEEB oversee admissions to various Technology/ Engineering/ Architecture/Pharmacy colleges in West Bengal, India. WBJEEB conducts West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination annually.

Selection Procedure: There is only one stage in WBJEE.

Written Test
Exam Pattern: The examination is held in Offline mode and contain Objective Type Questions. WBJEE question paper comprises three sections namely Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The question paper carries a total of 155 questions against 200 marks. The paper is held in English and Bengali languages. There are two categories of papers for candidates i.e.(Mathematics) and [Physics and Chemistry (combined)]. The total time duration is 120 minutes for each paper i.e. Paper 1 and Paper 2.

- Negative Marking:

Category 1: 0.25 marks from the total allotted mark gets deducted.

Category 2: 0.50 marks from the total allotted mark gets deducted.

Category 3: No Negative Marking in category 3. There can be more than one correct answer in the options.

There are two categories of papers for applicants i.e. (Mathematics) and [Physics and Chemistry (combined)].

Applicants interested in Technology/ Engineering/ Architecture Courses need to appear in both Paper-I and Paper-II

Applicants interested in the Pharmacy Course of the Jadavpur University need to appear in both Paper-I and Paper-II.

Applicants interested in Pharmacy Course other than that of the Jadavpur University, appearing in Paper 1 (Mathematics) is not compulsory. Marks in Paper 2 (Physics and Chemistry) only shall be considered.

Students appearing in both Paper-I and Paper-II are also eligible for admission to the Pharmacy course.
