All India AYUSH Postgraduate Entrance Test is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admissions to the Postgraduate courses in Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy. AIAPGET is conducted Once a year. This is a national level, Online test for admission to all AYUSH Colleges/ Institutions/ University/ Deemed University for PG courses in AYUSH system of Medicine.

All India AYUSH Postgraduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates must have passed BAMS/ BSMS/ BUMS/ BHMS/Graded BHMS degree.

  • Candidates with a provisional BAMS/ BUMS/ BSMS/ BHMS Pass Certificate can also apply for the AIAPGET.

  • Permanent or provisional registration certificate of BAMS/ BSMS/ BHMS/BUMS /Graded BHMS degree qualification issued by the CCIM/CCH/state board/ deemed universities/universities.

  • He/she must have completed 1 year of internship. 

  • There is no upper age limit for the candidates appearing for AIAPGET.

  • National Testing Agency (NTA) has not specified the number of attempts permitted to clear AIAPGET.

The AIAPGET is an Online Computer Based Test and the questions are Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). The medium of the test is English & Hindi for Ayurveda; English & Urdu for Unani; English & Tamil for Siddha and English only for Homeopathy. The total time duration for the exam is 90 minutes. The exam pattern is based on the Graduation level and the syllabus covers the basic understanding of the advancement of relevant medical study programs like Ayurveda (BAMS), Homeopathy (BHMS), and Siddha (BSMS), etc.

Ques 1. Who will conduct the AIAPGET?

Ans. The NTA (National Testing Agency) conducts the All India AYUSH Postgraduate Entrance Exam. NTA's role is limited to conducting the examination and processing the results. The admission or counseling of NTA is under the supervision of the AYUSH Admissions Central Counseling Committee (AACCC).

Ques 2. What is the marking scheme of the AIAPGET exam?

Ans. The marking scheme, 4 marks carry for each correct answer and 0.25 marks is deducted for each wrong answer.

Ques 3. What is the duration of the examination?

Ans. The duration of AIAPGET is 1 hour & 30 minutes (90 minutes). The question paper is comprised of 100 MCQs.

Ques 4. What is the fee of the AIAPGET application form?

Ans. The Fee of AIAPGET application form for General/ Other Backward Classes / Unreserved category is Rs.2500. However, candidates belonging to the SC/ ST / Persons with disability/ Transgender category are Rs.1750

Ques 5. What is the exam pattern of the AIAPGET exam?

Ans. The Question paper consists of 100 MCQs which has to attempt in 90 minutes.
