Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (APTET) is organized by the Dept. of School Education, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh in all 13 districts of the State. The exam is held as a Computer Based Test. The aim of this exam is to hire eligible applicants for the posts of teachers from classes 1 to 8 in the state of Andhra Pradesh. This exam presents a good opportunity for the aspirants to make their careers as teachers in the schools of Andhra Pradesh. The exam is held yearly.
Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (APTET) Conducting Body:
Andhra Pradesh State Govt. established the APTET. The purpose of establishing Andhra Pradesh TET was to carry out examinations at the end of Intermediate, Education, Secondary Education, Sanskrit Education and Madrasa Education and for instructing courses of education for the above mentioned tests and for advocating for acceptance of Intermediate Educational Institutions, High Schools, Sanskrit Schools and Madrasas to the State Government.

Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (APTET) Selection Procedure:
Applicants are selected based on the marks secured in the Written Test (TET cum TRT). Applicants who have previously qualified in earlier APTETs should have to write the Integrated Test. Applicants are given 20% of weightage for their earlier TET score (as per the original TET notification).

Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (APTET) Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification:
The applicants should pass the upper Secondary examination with at least 50 marks.
There is a relaxation of 45 marks if the candidates belong to a reserved class.
1.Higher Secondary / Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent 10+2) with a minimum 50% score and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EI.ED)
OR
2.Senior Secondary/Higher Secondary (or it's equivalent 10+2) with a minimum 50% result and 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.ED).
OR
3. Higher Secondary / Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent 10+2) with a minimum 50% score and having a Diploma in Education (Special Education), approved by the Rehabilitation Council of India(RCI).
OR
4. 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EI.ED) or Graduation.
Age limits
The candidate age should be a minimum of 18yrs to a maximum of 40yrs.
Syllabus:
Child Development Pedagogy: Child Development (Primary School Children): Understanding Children with the special needs, Concept of Inclusive Education and Learning Pedagogy
Mathematics: Numbers, Algebra, Mensuration, Geometry, Arithmetic, Shapes and Spatial Understanding
Language I: Perception-based questions and ideas for language development
Language II (English): Understanding based question in English and advancement of language
Social Sciences/Social Studies: History, Political/Social Life Geography, etc
Environmental Studies: Natural Resources, Solar System,Water, Habitats, Air, Parts of Body, Food Resource and Care, Our Surroundings
