The Army Institute of Law (AIL) was set-up in July 1999 by the Indian Army under the aegis of the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) at its provisional location at Patiala.  The Army Institute of Law - Law Entrance Test also known as AIL LET is conducted by the Army Institute of Law for Integrated and Postgraduate courses offered by the Army Institute of Law, Mohali.

AIL conducts AIL LET annually for candidates from across the nation who are willing to join Law services. The examination is conducted  Online. The time duration of the exam is 2 hours and has 200 Objective type questions divided into four sections namely General Knowledge & Current Affairs, General English,  Law Aptitude, and Mental Ability. The examination is conducted in the English Language only. The detailed exam pattern is as follows:-

  • There is no age limit to appear for the entrance exam.

- Educational Qualification:

  • Candidates must have qualified or are appearing in 10+2 from any recognized board.
