Assam Teacher Eligibility Test Selection Procedure:
Candidates will be shortlisted from the score secured in the Assam TET 2019. The final list is prepared based on the category wise cut offmarks.Multiple choice type questions are asked in the exam. Each question is for one mark and there is no negative marking. There are two papers in the exam i.e. Paper I and Paper II in which 150 questions . Candidates have to complete the exam in 1 and a half hours.

Assam Teacher Eligibility Test Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification:
The candidates should pass the upper Secondary examination with at least 50 marks.
It is a relaxation of 45 marks if the applicants belong to a reserved class.
1. Senior Secondary/Higher Secondary (or it's equivalent 10+2) with a minimum 50% score and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EI.ED)
OR
2.Higher Secondary / Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent 10+2) with a minimum 50% result and 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.ED).
OR
3. Higher Secondary / Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent 10+2) with a minimum 50% score and having a Diploma in Education (Special Education), approved by the Rehabilitation Council of India(RCI).
OR
4. 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EI.ED) or Graduation.
Age Criteria: Applicants should be between 18 to 38 years.

Mathematics: Shapes, Algebra, Mensuration, Geometry, Arithmetic, Numbers and Spatial Understanding

Language II (English): Understanding based question in English and advancement of language

Ques 4. I am a graduate from IGNOU, can I apply for Assam TET?
Ans. There are 2 criteria for graduates to apply for Assam TET.

Graduation with 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education

Graduation with a minimum of 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.), provided that the applicants who pass the Assam TET 2019 need to undergo a 6 month Bridge Course in Elementary Education within two years of appointment as a primary teacher.
Ques 5. What type of question can I expect in the Paper-II of the AssamTET exam?
Ans: The questions in the tests for Paper II will be based on the subjects of the prescribed syllabus of the Assam State for classes VI tto VIII but the difficulty standard could be up to the senior secondary stage.
Ques 6. Can a BCA student apply for AssamTET?
Ans. No, besides graduation, the applicants must also have done B.Ed/B.El.Ed from a recognized university.
