The AU AIMEE is the nationwide level entrance examination that is carried out for the students who wish to get registered in this most prominent university in courses like BDS, MBBS, B.SC, Nursing, B. Pharm and other Courses. Annamalai University is the exam organizing body. The entrance examination will be conducted in the selected centres in Tamil Nadu. There are 150 seats allotted to MBBS programs, 100 seats for BDS, B.Sc and B.Pharma programs and 30 seats for B.P.T programs.
Conducting Body: Annamalai University is a state university found in Annamalai Nagar, Chidambaram, Tamil Nadu, India. The university is scattered across 950 acres (3.8 km2) in Chidambaram and gives courses of higher education in Arts, Humanities, Science, Medical, Engineering, Management (MBA), Agriculture, and Physical Education. The university was established in 1929 by the entrepreneur Annamalai Chettiyar in the outcome of the Montagu-Chelmsford Reforms.

Selection Procedure
Candidates who qualify in the entrance exam are called for the interview. The final selection is based on the total marks scored in the XIIth standard exam, entrance exam and Interview as per the latter weightage:
- XII Standard – 200 marks
- Entrance Examination – 100 marks
- Interview – 30 marks
Exam Pattern
The AU AIMEE entrance exam contains multiple-choice objective questions including Paper 1 and Paper 2. It covers the syllabus of XIth and XIIth standard containing the following subjects:
- The Question Pattern for AU AIMEE Exam is 120 Questions are asked in Each paper
- Paper 1 Consists of 60 Questions from Botany and 60 Questions from Zoology.
- Paper 2 Consists of 60 Questions from Physics and 60 Questions from Chemistry.
Syllabus/Subjects
The Syllabus for the entrance exam includes the following topics
- Botany
- Zoology
- Physics
- Chemistry
The syllabus is from class 12th Tamilnadu HSC Syllabus.
Eligibility Criteria
• It is mandatory for the applicant to be a citizen of India
• Candidate must have passed 10+2 examination from any recognized university having major subjects namely Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English
• General category candidates need to secure minimum 50% aggregate marks in the major subjects where as reserved category candidate are supposed to secure minimum 40% aggregate marks in major subjects.
• Candidates whose age is above 17 years and less than 35 years for applying the examination.
