CEED(Common Entrance Examination for Design) is a national level joint entrance exam is managed by Industrial Design Centre of Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay on behalf of Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India every year to provide admission to eligible applicants in post graduate and Phd design programmes providing at colleges accepting CEED scores.
Conducting Body: The Common Entrance Examination for Design is a joint entrance examination guide by the IIT Bombay on behalf of Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India for providing admissions to deserving candidates to the Postgraduate and P.hd Design courses offered by the IITs and the various other institutes where CEED score is considered for admissions.

Selection Procedure: There are two stages to clear test:
- Objective Test
- Interview
Exam Pattern:- CEED Part A exam is held on a computer and Part B exam questions are displayed on a computer screen and candidates need to solve them on an answer booklet provided by the invigilator. The total time duration is 03 hours.
- Total 41 questions are asked in Part A which is divided into 3 sections: Numerical Answer Type (NAT), Multiple SelectionType (MSQ) and Multiple Choice Type (MCQ).
- 5 questions are asked in Part B and these are divided in 5 sections: Creativity, Sketching, Visual Sensitivity, Form Sensitivity and Problem Identification.
- The language of the examination is English only. The paper pattern is as follows:

Part A of CEED is considered a screening exam.Applicants who have been shortlisted in this test are evaluated for Part B of the exam. However, only the scores of applicants in Part B are considered while preparing the merit list for test.

There is a provision of Negative marking in Part A .
- Personal Interview: The applicants from the Objective Test are called for the Personal Interview round.
