Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts a Common Written Exam (CWE) every year to the recruit eligible and dynamic candidates. The exam is conducted for clerical cadre, among others, in multiple banks all over the nation.IBPS Clerk Exam is a 2 tier process comprising of Prelims and the Main Online Exam. No interview is held for selection for this post. All public sector banks use CRP as a base to fill the vacancies for this post.

IBPS Clerk Common Written Exam (CWE) is organized by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS). The exam is conducted to select young professionals for the clerical posts in the Public Sector Banks across the country.The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS), a recruitment body, have an aim to encourage the recruitment of candidates in Public Sector Banks in India. IBPS conducts this exam every year for the post of Clerk.

IBPS Clerk (CWE) Selection Procedure:

The IBPS Clerk Selection Procedure consists of two stages:-

  • Preliminary Examination

  • Mains Examination

The applicants have to qualify in both the stages to get selected for the post of Clerk. The final merit list is prepared on the basis of the marks of the Mains exam.

Preliminary Examination:- The IBPS Clerk CWE is an Online examination that is held with an aim to test the intellect, aptitude, and standard of English language of the candidates. The Paper pattern of the prelims exam is as follows:-

Note:

  • There is a provision of negative marking. 1/4th of the marks gets deducted.

  • Candidates need to solve each test section of the question paper in the stipulated time duration of 20 minutes

  • Candidates need to secure the minimum cut-off mark (to be decided by IBPS) in each section.

Mains Examination:- The Mains exam has 4 sections and a total of 190 questions. The total time duration of the mains exam is 180 minutes, but each section needs to be completed in a specific time duration. It is mendatory for the candidates to complete the questions with in given time period.

IBPS Clerk (CWE) Educational Qualification

  • Graduation in any discipline or an equivalent qualification.

  • Certificate/ Diploma/ Degree in computer operations/ Language/ should have studied Computer/ IT as one of the subjects in the High School/ College/ Institute.

  • Proficiency in the Official Language of the State/ UT(should know the language to read/write and speak the official language of that State/UT).

  • Ex servicemen, who do not possess the above qualifications, should at least be matriculated. Ex servicemen who have obtained corresponding certificate in the Navy or Air Force or the Army Special Certificate of Education after having completed minimum 15 years of service in the Armed Forces of the union.
