IBPS SO Conducting Body: IBPS(Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) a recruitment body, has an aim to encourage the applicants in Public Sector Banks for which exams are held every year. Institute of Banking Personnel Selection held an exam every year for the post of Specialist Officer for banks.

IBPS SO Exam Pattern:
Preliminary Exam: The IBPS SO is an Online examination that is conducted with an aim to test the intellect, aptitude, and standard of English language of the candidates. The format of the preliminary examination is based on different posts.

Interview:- Candidates who qualify the Mains Exams are finally called for the Interviews. The Interview carries 100 marks. The minimum qualifying marks for the interview stage is 40% for the general category and 35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD.

IBPS SO Educational Qualification: The educational qualification for IBPS SO is as follows:
- IT Officer: Applicants must possess a Graduation or Technical degree.
- Agriculture Field Officer: Candidate must possess a 4 year degree (graduation) in Horticulture, Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Food Technology, or any other relevant field.
- Rajbhasha Adhikari: Candidate must possess a post graduation in Hindi with English as a graduate level subject and post graduation in Sanskrit with Hindi and English as a graduate-level subject.
- Law Officer: Applicants must have a degree in Law and enrolled in Bar Council as an Advocate.
- HR/ Personnel Officer: Applicants must possess a post graduation in Personnel Management, Industrial Relations, HR, Labour Law, or Social Work.
- Marketing Officer: Applicants must possess a full-time MBA with Marketing Specialization.

Ans. No, four year UG/PG degree is a must to apply for IBPS SO exams.

Ans. Yes, but only particular engineering graduates can apply for SO(Specialist Officer) post. Mechanical and Civil engineering graduates are not eligible.
Ques 11. Can a final year student apply for IBPS so?
Ans. Final year/semester students are not eligible for IBPS SO recruitment. Only those candidates who have completed their degree are permitted to apply.
