Indian Coast Guard Navik Test (ICGNT) Selection Procedure: The selection process of the ICGN Exam is based on given following rounds:

  • OMR sheet based offline exam.

  • Physical Fitness Test

  • Initial Medical Test

  • Document Verification

The selection of applicants purely depends on merit depending on performance in Written Test, Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and fitness in the Medical Examination.

Indian Coast Guard Navik Test (ICGNT) Exam Pattern:  The written examination will be OMR based Objective type. All the questions will be from the 12th standard which generally covers subjects such as Maths, Physics, Chemistry, English, General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning, etc.The language mode of questions will be Hindi and English. There will be no -ve marking for the wrong answer.

Physical Fitness Test: The steps are given below:

  • 1.6 Km run completed in 7 minutes.

  • 20 Squat ups (Uthak Baithak).

  • 10 Push-ups.

After qualifying the Written and the PFT, the applicants have to go through a Medical Examination.

  • Age Criteria: Must be between 18 to 22 yrs old as per their class 10th. Age relaxation to SC/ST and OBC applicants is as per government rules.
