The Indian Coast Guard Yantrik Test (ICGNT) is a National level entrance exam conducted by the Indian Coast Guard (Ministry of Defense) in Offline mode. This exam is Offline/written based (OMR), those candidates who wish to appear and enter for coast guard will have to qualify Offline Written-test then Physical Fitness Test. The exam is conducted Once a year.

Indian Coast Guard Yantrik Entrance Test (ICG YET) Selection Procedure: The selection process of the ICGY Exam is based on given following rounds:

  • OMR sheet based offline exam.

  • Physical Fitness Test

  • Initial Medical Test

  • Final Medical test at INS Chilka.

  • Document Verification

The selection of candidates purely depends on merit depending on performance in Written Test, Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and fitness in the Medical Examination.

Written exam:-

  • The written examination will be OMR based objective type.

  • All the questions will be from the Diploma subjects like electrical, mechanical, electronics and communications and some questions form subjects such as maths, Physics, Chemistry, English, General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning, etc.

  • The Language mode of questions will be Hindi and English.

  • There will be no –ve marking for the wrong answer.

Physical Fitness Test:-

  • 1.6 Km run completed in 7 minutes.

  • 20 Squat ups.

  • 10 Push-ups.

  • After qualifying written and PFT, the candidate has to go through a medical examination.
