Indo Tibetan Border Police Force is also known as ITBPF. It is a Central Armed Police Force specializes in high altitude operations. ITBP organizes various exams for numerous posts for the applicants who are eager to serve the Nation. This exam is held for the employment of eligible applicants for the posts of Inspector (Editor). The exam is held yearly.

The Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) was formed on 24/Oct/1962. It is one of the seven Central Armed Police Forces of India. ITBP was formed under the CRPF Act, in the wake of the 1962 Sino Indian war. Currently ITBP covers the India China border from Ladakh to Arunachal Pradesh. ITBP organizes exams every year for desiring aspirants.

ITBP INSPECTOR (EDITOR) Selection Procedure:

The exam is conducted in following stages:

  • Height Bar

  • PET (Physical Efficiency Test)

  • Document verification

  • PST (Physical Standard Test)

  • Written test

  • DME

i) Height Bar:

For Male:

  • 170 cms - For all categories except belonging to Garhwali, Kumaoni, Gorkha, Dogra & Maratha.

  • 165 cms - Sikkim, NE, J&K, and HP belonging candidates.

  • 162.5 cms - Scheduled Tribes

For Female:

  • 157cms - For all categories except belonging to Garhwali, Kumaoni, Gorkha, Dogra & Maratha.

  • 155 cms - Sikkim, NE, J&K, and HP belonging candidates.

  • 154 cms - Scheduled Tribes.

ii) PET: Physical Efficiency Test:
