Mizoram Teacher Eligibility Test is organized by the Mizoram Board of School Education (MBSE). This exam is held to hire eligible applicants as a primary or upper primary teacher in the state of Mizoram. Its main purpose is to develop academic programmes and organise examinations, particularly for state level High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) and Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC).

Mizoram Teacher Eligibility Test Selection Procedure:
Applicants will be shortlisted from the score secured in the Mizoram TET 2019. The final list is prepared based on the category wise cut off marks.Multiple choice type questions are asked in the exam. Each question is for one mark and there is no negative marking. There are two papers in the exam i.e. Paper I and Paper II in which 150 and 210 questions are asked. Candidates have to complete the exam in1 and a half hours.

Mizoram Teacher Eligibility Test Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification:
The candidates should pass the upper Secondary examination with at least 50 marks.
It is a relaxation of 45 marks if the applicants belong to a reserved class.
1.Higher Secondary / Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent 10+2) with a minimum 50% score and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EI.ED)
OR
2.Higher Secondary / Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent 10+2) with a minimum 50% result and 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.ED).
OR
3. Senior Secondary/Higher Secondary (or it's equivalent 10+2) with a minimum 50% score and having a Diploma in Education (Special Education), approved by the Rehabilitation Council of India(RCI).
OR
4. 2year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EI.ED) or Graduation.
Age Criteria: Applicants should be between 18 to 30 years.

Child Development Pedagogy: Child Development (Primary School Children): Understanding Children with the special needs, Concept of Inclusive Education and Learning Pedagogy
Mathematics: Numbers, Geometry, Mensuration, Arithmetic, Algebra, Shapes, and Spatial Understanding
Language I: Perception-based questions for language development
Language II (English): Understanding based question in English and advancement of language
Social Sciences/Social Studies: History,Political and Social Life Geography, etc
Environmental Studies: Habitats,Water, Natural Resources, Solar System, Air, Parts of Body, Food Resource and Care, Our Surroundings

Ques 1. Is a B.Com B.Ed student eligible for the exam?
Ans: If you have 4 years of Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.ED) degree than you are eligible for the exam.
Ques 2. I want to apply for Mizoram TET. then, I need to know about the age limit?
Ans: Age limit to apply for Mizoram TET:

However, relaxation of 3 years is given to OBC applicants and 5 years to SC/ ST applicants

Ans: The questions in the tests for Paper II will be based on the subjects of the prescribed syllabus of the Mizoram State for classes VI-VIII but the difficulty standard could be up to the senior secondary stage.
Ques 8. If I clear Mizoram TET and still in my final year of Bachelor's Degree, am I eligible to apply?
Ans: Applicants who are appearing in the final year of Bachelor Degree in Education or Diploma in Elementary Education etc. are temporarily admitted and their Mizoram TET Certificate shall be confirmed only on passing the aforesaid Examinations.
Ques 9. I have completed B. Sc Microbiology, am I eligible?
Ans. Applicants should be eligible for the course, it is expected that along with the graduation, the candidate must have done a teaching course. Thus, you are not eligible.
