National Council of Hotel Management and Catering Technology Joint Entrance Examination or NCHMCT JEE is also known as NHCM JEE. It is a national level entrance exam to provide admission to aspirants in Hospitality and Hotel administration programmes.
Conducting Body: NCHMCT JEE is held by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Earlier this examination was held by the National Council of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT). This examination acts as the gateway for admissions in the hotel management and hospitality programs in the institutes across India.

Selection Procedure:
The NCHMCT JEE Test is held in one stage:

Written test
Exam Pattern:- The examination is conducted tentatively in online . The total time duration is 3 hours and contain Objective type questions. The medium of instructions of the examination is both Hindi and English.

Note:- There is a provision of negative marking. 1 mark gets deducted for each wrong answer.
Eligibility:

Age Limit:- Not more than 25 years old (28 years for SC/ST ) as on July 1, 2019.

Educational Qualification:- 10+2 with English as one of the subjects. The candidate needs to have passed in English subject separately as well.

Physical Fitness - Applicants must provide a physical fitness certificate from a recognised medical practitioner.

FAQs:
Ques 1. In which mode the NCHMCT JEE is held?
Ans. NCHMCT JEE is conducted in online mode as a computer-based test (CBT). Till 2018, NCHMCT JEE was held in offline mode.
Ques 2. What to carry on NCHMCT JEE exam day?
Ans. Although NCHMCT JEE is an online exam, candidates are advised to carry a pen and pencil to the exam centre. Apart from this, candidate are also advised to carry the documents mentioned below:

Admit card: NCHMCT JEE admit card is a very important document to be carried to the test centre.

ID proof: Candidates must carry an original photo ID proof such as Aadhaar Card/ PAN Card/ Passport/ Driving License/ Voter ID to the test centre.

Photo: Candidates should carry at least one passport size photograph to the exam centre. It is advisable to carry the photograph used at the time of filling NCHMCT JEE application form.
Ques 3. How can applicant apply for the exam?
Ans. NCHMCT JEE application form is made available online on the official website of National Council of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT) as well as National Testing Agency.
Ques 4. Which documents are required for submission of application?
Ans. Scanned photo and signature must be uploaded while submtting the form.
Ques 5. What should be the size of the photograph and signature?
Ans. The size of the scanned photograph should be 10kb to 200kb and the size of the scanned signature should be between 4kb to 30kb. Both the files should be in JPEG format.
Ques 6. How can candidates to pay the application fee?
Ans. Application fee can be paid online through Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking/ e-Challan.
Ques 7. Is there any provision of fee exemption for Reserved category?
Ans. No, there is no such provision for any category. The fee is 800/- for General category candidates and 400/- for Reserved category candidates.
Ques 8. Is there any provision to edit the application after submission?
Ans. No changes can be made once the form is submitted and the fee is paid.
Ques 9. Can a Commerce student apply for B.Sc Hotel Management through NCHMCT JEE?
Ans. Yes, Commerce students are eligible to apply for the test. The only requirement is 10+2 with English as compulsary subject.
Ques 10. What is the age limit for the exam?
Ans. As per the eligibility criteria of NCHMCT JEE, the Upper age limit is 25 years for General & OBC and Upper age limit is 28 years for SC/ST.
