Selection Procedure:
Selection for the Post is done through two-tiered processes i.e. online examination and interview.
Exam Pattern:
Phase I: Online Examination
The online examination consists of both Objective and Descriptive Tests. Objective Test for 200 marks and 3 hours duration consists of 4 sections. The objective test has separate timing. The details of online test structure are as follows:

Descriptive Test is a test of English Language for 25 marks. The test of 30 minutes duration consisting of two parts Letter Writing andEssay. Candidates have to answer Descriptive Test by typing on the computer. Descriptive Test commences immediately after completionof the Objective Test. Descriptive Test is of qualifying nature and candidates have to secure a minimum score in the Descriptive Test. Evaluation of Descriptive Test paper is subject to candidate attaining minimum marks in Objective Test.
Penalty for Wrong Answers: Each question in the Objective Tests has five alternative choices, out of which one is the correct answer. There is a penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. For every wrong answer marked, one-fourth of the marks assigned to that question gets deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate, there is no penalty for that question.
Scores:The corrected scores obtained by each of the candidates in different sessions (if held) is normalized using the equi-percentile method. Scores up to two decimal points are taken for the purpose of calculations.
Cut off Score (Online Examination): Each candidate is required to obtain a minimum score in each section of the Objective Test and also a minimum total score is considered to be shortlisted for the interview. Descriptive Test is of qualifying nature and marks scored in the same is not to be considered for shortlisting of the candidate to interview. However, the candidate has to secure a minimum score in the Descriptive Test. Evaluation of the Descriptive Test paper is subjected to the candidate attaining minimum marks in the Objective Test. Depending on the number of vacancies available, the cut-off is decided and candidates are shortlisted for interview as accordingly. Prior to the completion of the interview process, scores obtained in the online examination are not to be shared with the candidates shortlisted for the interview.
Phase II - Interview:A category wise merit list is prepared on the basis of the aggregate marks scored in the Objective Test. The minimum aggregate cut off marks for being shortlisted for Interviews are decided by the Bank in relation to the number of vacancies. Roll No. of the candidates shortlisted for an interview is published on the NHB website. Interviews are being conducted at the NHB head office in New Delhi ONLY.
Eligibility Criteria:
Age Limit: Not below 21 years and not above 28 years.
Academic qualification: A full time Bachelors Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks (55% in case of SC/ST/PwBD) or a full time Masters Degree in any discipline with an aggregate minimum of 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/PwBD) from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
Candidates possessing the qualification of Chartered Accountant/ICWAI/CS may also apply.
The candidate must possess valid Mark sheet / Degree Certificate/ Professional qualification certificate that he/ she is a graduate/postgraduate/Chartered Accountant/ICWAI/CS (wherever applicable) as on 01.03.2019 and indicate the percentage of marks obtained in the Graduation/Post-graduation/professional qualifications while registering online.
Post Qualification Experience:
While no prior experience is required, any relevant experience is given weightage.

Ques 2. What is the salary of NHB assistant manager?
Ans. Starting Basic pay is Rs. 23,700/- p.m. in the scale of Rs. 23,700-980/7-30,560-1,145/2-32,850-1,310/7-42,020. The present pay scale is under revision. Ques 4. What are the guidelines for the visually impaired candidates?
Ans. Visually Impaired applicants (who suffer from not less than 40% of disability) may opt to see the contents of the test in magnified font and all such applicants will be qualified for compensatory time of 20 minutes for every hour or otherwise advised of examination. The facility of seeing the contents of the test in magnifying font will not be accessible to Visually Impaired applicants who use the services of a Scribe for the examination.

Ques 6. Will the exam be conducted online or offline (OMR Based)?
Ans. The examination will be conducted online.
Ques 7. Is there any negative marking?
Ans. Yes, for every incorrect answer marked, one fourth of the marks allotted to that question will be subtracted. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the applicant, there will be no negative marking for that question.
Ques 8. I have a Bachelor's degree in Library with 57.8% and 1-year experience. Am I eligible to apply?
Ans. No, Bachelor’s Degree in Library and Information Science from a recognized institute/university with aggregate at least 60% marks (55% in case of applicants belonging to SC/ST). Apart from that applicants should have 3 years of experience in a Library holding post equivalent to Assistant Librarian having the most advanced technology & facilities for a multimedia information system (Digital Library). Knowledge of Library Science Software(s) is necessary.
