PGIMER, also known as the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, is a medical and research institution in Chandigarh, India and has educational, training facilities and medical research for students. PGI has all the latest facilities including all specialties, sub-specialties and super specialties and provides training in almost all disciplines of Medicine including diploma, postgraduate & post-doctoral degrees and fellowships. PGI is also involved in research for the rural and community-related Health and Environment problems.
Conducting Body: Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research conducts a PGIMER Entrance Exam for MD (Doctor of Medicine) & MS (Master in Surgery) courses offered by the Institute. The PGIMER Entrance is conducted twice a year and the academic session starts in January and July every year.

Selection Procedure: There is only one stage in the PGIMER exam for candidates to qualify for admissions:

Objective Test
Exam Pattern: The examination is conducted in Online mode and contains Objective type questions. The question paper consists of 250 MCQ type questions and the language of the exam is English.
