BSNL Junior Engineer (JE) Exam- Exam Pattern:
Written exam: The exam is Objective based having Multiple Choice Questions. There are 3 sections- General Ability, Basic engineering and Specialization. The total number of questions in the exam are 200 and the duration of the exam is 3 hours.

Interview: The candidates who remain successful in clearing written test is called for Interview round. Selected candidates get the post of JE (Junior Engineer) in BSNL.

Ques 1. When will be the BSNL JE exam conducted every year?
Ans. The BSNL JE are usually scheduled in the month of January.
Ques 2. Is it possible to find the details on the number of vacancies available in JE recruitment process?
Ans. The vacancies are made available based on the requirement of participating banks.
Ques 3. Examination is held in which mode?
Ans. Across the country the Common Written Exam for JE exam is held online.
Ques 4. When do the registration start for JE?
Ans. The Registration generally begins in the the month of January.
Ques 5. What is the Exam Pattern followed for JE exam?
Ans. BSNL JE is held in two levels namely (i) preliminary exam and (ii) main exam. Candidates after qualifying the preliminary exam can appear for the Mains exam. Candidates who clear the main exam get shortlisted for Personal Interview. Candidates are recruited based on their performance in the Interview and the Main Exam.
Ques 6. Is there any percentage criteria to appear in JE?
Ans. No, there is no such criteria. The eligibility criteria must be fulfilled to appear in the JE exam.
Ques 7. Is calculator allowed in JE exam?
Ans. No, use of the calculator is strictly not allowed in the bank exam. So candidates can't use the calculators and they must apply their mind and solve the questions.
Ques 8. Is EEE branch eligible for JE?
Ans. Being a B.Tech in EEE( Electrical and Electronics Engineering ) stream candidates are certainly eligible for the JE examination for recruitment as an IT Officer as the trade includes Electronics as a core subject and for the same post Electronics candidates are allowed to appear.
Ques 9. Can a graduate apply for JE?
Ans. No, four year UG/PG degree is must to apply for JE exams.
Ques 10. Can engineering student apply for JE?
Ans. Yes, but only particular engineering graduates can apply for JE post.Mechanical and Civil engineering graduates are not eligible.
Ques 11. Can a final year student apply for JE?
Ans. Final year/semester students are not eligible for JE recruitment. Only those candidates who have completed their degree are permitted to apply.
Ques 12. What is the work of JE?
Ans. The job of JE employed in a BSNL is to monitor that the electronic devices,connections, towers work properly.
Ques 13. How many attempts are there for JE?
Ans. There is no restriction related to the number of attempts in JE recruitment. A candidate, belonging to any category, can appear for any number of time in the examination.
Ques 14. Can a candidate apply for more than one post in the JE?
Ans. No. A candidate is allowed to apply for only one post in the JE at a time.
Ques 15. Is the Computer language beneficial to apply for the JE?
Ans. Candidates having Certificate/Diploma/Degree in Computer Operations/ Language is definitely beneficial. Candidates must have studied Computer/Information Technology as one of the subjects in the High School/ College/ Institute.
