Rajasthan State Eligibility Test is organized by the Rajasthan Public Service Commission, Ajmer. Rajasthan State Eligibility Test Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualifications:

Applicants who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off)in Master Degree similar examination from University/Institutions approved by UGC in Computer Science and Application, Humanities (including languages) and Social Sciences, Education, Earth Science, Population Studies, etc. are qualified for this Test. The Physically Handicapped (PH)/ Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Visually Handicapped (VH)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST) category candidates who have obtained at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in Master's degree or equivalent examination are qualified for this Test.

Candidates who have given OR will be giving the qualifying Master degree (final year) examination and whose result is still expected OR candidates whose qualifying exam have been held may also apply for this Test. Nevertheless, such applicants will be accepted temporarily and shall be regarded qualified for Lectureship eligibility only after they have passed their Master degree examination or equivalent with a minimum of 55% marks (50% in case of PH/VH/SC/ST/ category aspirants). Such applicants must finish their P.G. degree examination within two years from the date of SET result with requisite percentage of marks missing which they shall be treated as disqualified.

The Ph.D. degree possessors whose Master's level examination had been finished by 19th September 1991 (irrespective of the date of announcement of result) shall be qualified for a relaxation of 5% in total marks (i.e. from 55% to 50%) for appearing in SET.

Candidates are expected to appear in the subject of their post graduation only. In the event, if the subject of a applicant is not covered in the list of SET subjects, the applicant may appear in UGC NET/UGC-CSIR NET which is kept twice a year.
Validity:- For lectureship qualification, the SET certificate is legitimate for that particular state only and permanently. Recruitment to the post of lecturer may be assigned from among the SET fitted applicants by Universities/Colleges/ Recruitment Agencies as per their designated procedures and Rules & Regulations.
Age Limitation:
There is no maximum age limit.
Rajasthan State Eligibility Test Syllabus:-
The syllabus for the Rajasthan SET exam is the same as of UGC/CSIR NET examination. The science subject papers such as Mathematical Sciences, Life Sciences, Chemical Sciences, and Physical Sciences of paper I will be as per the syllabi of UGC NET. Ans: The candidates having a PH certificate with a 40% disability or more shall be treated as a PH applicant and can avail the expected amenities meant for PH applicant in respect of Rajasthan SET.

Ans: Each question carries 2 marks. For every correct answer, you can score 2 marks and there is no negative marking.

No, OBC/ DT(VJ)/NT/SEBC/SBC/ [relating to non-creamy layer] and PH/VH/SC/ST/VH-Visually Handicapped i.e. Blind/Trans-genders(PH Physically Handicapped), Orphan category applicants who have obtained at least 50% marks (without gracing or rounding off) in Master or equivalent examination are suitable for this test.

Ans: Applicant applying from the third gender in other words transgender category would be suitable to draw the same relaxation in fee, age and qualifying criteria for SET as are open for to SC/ST/PWD classification.

Ans:Candidate must upload a scanned photograph, signature, and caste/disability certificate if relevant in jpg/jpeg format only. The size of the photograph should be within 15 kb to 50 kb, Signature should be within 5 kb to 20 kb and certificates should be within 50kb to 200kb.
Ques 8. Is there any mark relaxation for Ph.D. degree holders?
Ans: Applicants with a Ph.D. degree and who have completed their Post Graduation before September 1992 are suitable for the relaxation of 5% in minimum mark limit. They should have a minimum of 50% in place of 55% marks.

Ans: The certificate is valid for Rajasthan state only and for all future times.
