RRB ALP/TECH Selection Procedure:
The entire recruitment process involve:

First stage CBT,

Second stage CBT,

Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT)

Document Verification/ Medical as applicable.
Note: There is no requirement of Computer Based Aptitude Test for the post of Technician in the Railway Department.
RRB ALP/TECH Exam Pattern:
1st Stage CBT :(Common for ALP/Technician)
The test is held on Online mode and it's an Objective type paper. The total number of questions are 75. The total duration of time is 60 minutes.There is provision of Negative Marking for incorrect answers in the CBT. 1/3rd of the marks are deducted.

For 2nd Stage CBT :
The test is also conducted on Online mode and it's an Objective type paper. There is provision of Negative Marking for incorrect answers in the CBT. 1/3rd of the marks are deducted.
PART A:
The total number of questions are 100. The time duration for Part A is 90 minutes. Marks of Part A are considered while preparing Merit list.

PART B: Technical Ability
The total number of questions are 75. The time duration for Part A is 60 minutes. Part B paper is qualifying in nature and the qualifying marks are 35%. Candidates must get 35% marks out of the total marks to qualify this paper.
- Computer-Based Aptitude Test (Only for ALP)
The candidates who qualify the second stage CBT considered eligible for Computer Based Aptitude Test. There is no provision of Negative Marking in this test. For the post of Assisstant Loco Pilot 70% weightage is of the Part A of 2nd Stage CBT and 30% weightage is of CBAT. Following are the tests of CBAT:
