The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) organizes the RRB NTPC exam to hire eligible aspirants for the Non-Technical Popular Category posts in its various zones.
These posts are- Commercial Apprentice (CA), Goods Guard, Traffic Assistant, Trains Clerk, Junior Time Keeper, Senior Time Keeper, Junior Clerk cum Typist, Senior Commercial Clerk Cum Typist, Assistant Station Master (ASM), Commercial cum Ticket Clerk (ECRC), Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Junior Accounts Assistant Cum Typist (JAA), Station Master.
Desiring applicants can apply for the exam online through the official website. The exam is organized yearly.
RRB NTPC Conducting Body:
The Railway Recruitment Board is an organization that recruits eligible applicants for various posts to work in the Indian Railways. It is managed by the Railway Recruitment Control Board. RRB conducts the NTPC exam every year for eligible and desiring applicants.

RRB NTPC Selection Procedure: The RRB NTPC Selection Procedure consists of two main stages which are common for all the posts. However, the later stages are different for different posts:-

RRB NTPC Exam Pattern:
Stage 1 Examination:- The Preliminary Exam is an Objective type examination consisting of 3 sections- Mathematics, Reasoning & General Intelligence, General Awareness. The exam duration is of 90 minutes (120 minutes for candidates belonging to PWD category).

CBAT (Computer Based Aptitude Test): Candidates who qualify the Stage 2 Examination and have applied for the post of Station Master/Traffic Assistant have to appear for the Computer-based Aptitude Test.
The minimum qualifying score for the applicants is 42 in each of the test batteries for all candidates belonging to any category.

Typing Skill Test(TST): A candidate needs to have a typing speed of 30 words per minute(WPM) in English and 25 words per minute (WPM) in Hindi on a Computer.
Documents Verification: On the basis of the performances of the candidates in Stage 2 and CBAT the final merit list is prepared for each post and the candidates featuring in this list are called for the Document verification.

Ques 1. In exam Aptitude Test is applicable to which post?
Ans. It is applicable to the post of Assistant Station Master and Traffic Assistant.
Ques 2. Whether the original Medical Certificate by Eye Specialist is compulsory to present in Aptitude Test?
Ans. Yes, Medical Certificate certifying the requisite vision on proper proforma duly signed and stamped by Eye Specialist is compulsory to show in Aptitude Test.
Ques 3. How the merit is drawn for the post of ASM & Traffic Assistant?
Ans.With the computation of 70% weightage given to the marks in 2nd Stage CBT and 30% weightage given to the marks in Aptitude Test.
Ques 4. What are the documents the candidate is required to bring for appearing in the Aptitude Test?
Ans. Following are the documents:
(i) eCall letter for the Aptitude Test,
(ii)Passport size color photo (to be pasted on eCall letter),

Ans. Yes, 5% of mistakes out of the total typed word are ignored.

Ans. 10 minutes.

Ans. Candidates belonging to SC/ST category.
Ques 9. Is there any other facility provided by RRB for SC/ST category?
Ans. As and when admissible, free Second Class Railway Pass is issued to the SC/ST candidates when they are called for Aptitude Test/ Skill test/Interview/Document verification but they must submit a valid caste certificate.
Ques 10. Is final year students eligible for RRB NTPC?
Ans. Yes, the final year graduation student can apply for RRB NTPC. A. Candidates who are between 18 to 30 years for undergraduate posts and 18 to 33 for graduate posts can apply for RRB NTPC.
Ques 11. Can a 12th pass apply for RRB NTPC?
Ans. Yes, there are posts for the Graduate level and there are posts for 12th std pass. Candidate should apply only for the 12th based posts, then they are allotted a post based on the marks they get.
Ques. Can a candidate change post preference in RRB NTPC 2019?
Ans. Yes, they can modify their application for the RRB NTPC exam.
Ques 12. Is Lasik surgery allowed in RRB NTPC?
Ans. Lasik/ Laser/ Radial Keratotomy or any other surgical treatment for eye vision correction makes you unfit for RRB NTPC A2 posts such as Traffic Assistant, Goods Guard and Station Master.
Ques 13. Can 10th pass apply for RRB NTPC?
Ans. No, the minimum qualification 12th but for some NTPC posts, the minimum qualification is Graduation also.
Ques 14. Can a candidate apply for more than one post?
Ans. Yes, If the aspirants who are eligible for more than one post can apply for more than one post. They can set their priority preferences for the said posts they desire to apply for.
