Every year, the State Bank of India (SBI) conducts the SBI Clerk Exam to recruit candidates for the post of Junior Associates (Customer Support and Sales).

SBI Clerk Exam Pattern:
Preliminary Examination:- The SBI Clerk Preliminary is an Online examination which is conducted with an aim to test the intellect, aptitude and standard of English language of the candidates. The paper has 3 sections each with a sectional time cutoff of 20 minutes. The Paper pattern of the prelims exam is as follows:-

Note:

There is a provision of negative marking. 1/4th of the mark assigned (0.25 mark) for the question shall be deducted for each wrong answer.

Candidates need to solve each test section of the question paper in the stipulated time duration of 20 minutes.

Candidates need to secure in the minimum cut-off mark (to be decided by SBI) in each section.
Mains Examination:- Only the shortlisted candidates qualify for the Mains Examination. The Mains exam has 4 sections and a total of 190 questions. The total time duration of the mains exam is 160 minutes, but each section needs to be completed in the stipulated time duration.

Local Language Test:-
Candidates who qualify the Mains exam has to appear for the test of local language opted. However, those who have studied the concerned local language at the 10th or 12th level, are exempted from the language test.
