The SSC (Staff Selection Commission) organizes this exam to recruit eligible and desiring aspirants for various Centre Police Organisations of the country such as the Delhi Police, Central Armed Police Force, Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), etc. Desiring applicants can apply online for the exam through the official website. This exam is held yearly.
SSC CPO Conducting Body:
The Staff Selection Commission hires staff in numerous Ministries and Departments of the Government of India and in Subordinate Offices. It is an organisation under the Government of India. Centre Police Organisation Examination is organised on a yearly basis by the SSC to hire applicants for the various posts.

SSC CPO Selection Procedure: This examination is consists of two papers i.e. Paper I & Paper II. The detailed selection procedure (Phase wise) is as follows:-
Phase 1: Candidate must appear for paper 1. This phase of examination acts as a filter between the serious and non-serious applicants.
Phase 2: The candidates undergo the PST/ PET stage to be eligible for the next phase. This phase is only of qualifying nature. The selected candidates on the basis of the Phase-1 examination appear for this phase.
Phase 3: On the basis of the marks obtained in paper 1 and paper 2 the shortlisted candidates are called for Detailed Medical Examination.
Phase 4: All those who successfully cleared the Detailed Medical Examination are called for the detailed Document Verification.
Phase 5: Final selection is done on the basis of the aggregate marks scored in paper 1 and paper 2. The posts are assigned to the candidates on the basis of the position secured by them in the final merit list.
