Conducting Body: The Tata Institute of Social Sciences is a multi-campus government-funded research university in Mumbai, India. Selection Process:

Firstly, the applicants will get through the entrance exam. The applicants must appear in the written exam to participate in the admission procedure. The applicants who successfully pass the entrance test of TISS-BAT will participate in the further process of selection.

Soon after the completion of the exam, the qualified applicants will have to go for the certificate verification at the campus that they have chosen. They will have to collect all their original certificates.

Those candidates who are still expecting their results need to provide the appearance bonafide document. This must be issued only by the Principal of their college. The certificate must state that the applicants have appeared in the final examination of class 12th.

The applicants who are selected will get provisional admission. After presenting all the certificates if they discover to be satisfactory, they will get temporary admission.
Exam Pattern:- The TISS BAT exam is of total 100 marks which are divided into two parts:
Paper-1: This paper is a computer-based objective type test paper of 60 marks of a sectional time duration of 60 minutes. The question will feature from the fields of Logical Reasoning, Mathematical/Numerical Ability, General Awareness, English Proficiency.
Paper-2: This paper is a descriptive type question paper of 40 marks of a sectional time duration of 30 minutes. The applicants are required to write an essay of 500 words on any 2 questions of the given 4 questions in the paper, each carrying 20 marks.

Note:- There is no provision of negative marking.
Sectional Cut-off: The applicants need to score the minimum cut-off in each section for remaining in the competition to feature in the final merit list.
Note:- Applicants who have applied for admission to BA in social work have to appear in Personal Interview first. Applicants will be given a score out of 50 on the basis of this interview.
